Hello!

My name is Danielle, an AML Leukemia cancer survivor, Oncology-Certified California Licensed Esthetician, and the founder of HealthySkinHalo.com—a platform dedicated to skincare coaching for those with all types of skin concerns, especially sensitive skin.

Before my cancer diagnosis in January 2020, I had a decades-long career with global professional skincare brands in England, Australia, and the United States. I trained providers on skin physiology, chemical exfoliation, and medical-grade skincare technology for various skin concerns. I achieved remission in 2022 and now live with a chronic autoimmune disease called Graft vs. Host. This personal experience continues to give me a deep compassion and appreciation for what others experience through health challenges, and how I can help them.

Summer Switch Ups

“Warmer weather, salt and sea, chlorine and sweat can dehydrate and compromise the skin barrier. A summer serum that works well under sunscreen or tinted mineral makeup is a good choice. Try Rare C Serum for antioxidant protection or Rare Mandelic Serum if you’re trying to minimize brown spots or discoloration. Changing to a lighter-weight moisturizer is a good idea too, with ingredients like ceramides, hyaluronic acid, or squalene to protect the skin barrier.”
